The 20th round of Ligue 1 matches took place this Wednesday, with several noteworthy results. League leaders AJEL Rufisque suffered a setback. The Rufisque side (40 points) were held to a 0-0 draw at home by bottom-of-the-table Cambérène.

Second in the standings, US Gorée had the opportunity to reduce the gap with the leader, but the Islanders were also held to a draw by Génération Foot (0-0).

By defeating AS Pikine 2-0 at the Alassane Djigo Stadium, Teungueth FC secured the best result of the day. This away victory allows the Rufisque-based club (32 points) to climb to 3rd place.

Playing away at Mbour, Jaraaf of Dakar returned to winning ways. The Green and Whites, who hadn't won since Matchday 9, dominated Stade de Mbour (2-0).

At the Mawade Wade stadium, Linguère de Saint-Louis (13th, 19 pts) were held to a 2-2 draw by Dakar Sacré-Cœur. This result does little to help the northern club, which is still desperately seeking points to distance itself from the relegation zone.

On the road in Thiès, Casa Sports (4th, 28 pts) came back with a valuable point against Wallydaan (1-1).

At the Amadou Barry stadium, US Ouakam (5th, 28 pts) secured a second consecutive victory by winning against ASC HLM (1-0).

The 20th day will conclude this Thursday with the Sonacos-Guédiawaye FC match.
