Thanks to this valuable win, AJEL (1st, 43 pts) now holds a four-point lead over US Gorée (2nd, 39 pts), who secured a 1-0 win away at AS Pikine. Meanwhile, Teungueth FC (3rd, 36 pts) was held to a 0-0 draw by Casa Sports.
