Ligue 1 (7e journée) : Guédiawaye FC s’effondre, statu quo en tête du classement
The Senegalese Ligue 1 played its 7th round of matches this weekend. League leaders US Gorée were held to a 0-0 draw by AS Pikine. Despite the result, the islanders remain top of the table with 15 points.
Casa Sports, who were aiming for the top spot, were also held to a draw by Teungueth FC (0-0). However, AJEL of Rufisque secured a valuable victory, winning the Lebou derby against US Ouakam (2-1). This precious win consolidates AJEL's third place.
At the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium, Jaraaf secured their second consecutive victory, defeating Guédiawaye FC 2-1 and plunging the Crabes into doubt. This win lifts the Medina club to 9th place with 9 points.
At the Yoff municipal stadium, AS Camberène won the clash of the newly promoted sides, defeating Stade de Mbour 2-1. Playing away in Saint-Louis, SONACOS beat Linguère 1-0. Thanks to this away victory, the Oilers, with 12 points, climb to 4th place in the standings.
The clash between the academy teams, Dakar Sacré-Cœur and Génération Foot, ended in a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, away in Dakar, Wallydaan FC snatched a point with a 2-2 draw against ASC HLM.
