Ligue 2 - 15e journée : Diambars-Niary Tally et AS Saloum-AS Douanes, duels à distance pour la première place
The Senegalese Ligue 2 is playing its 15th and final matchday of the first half of the season this weekend, with an intense battle for the top of the standings.
League leaders AS Douanes (1st, 23 pts) will travel to face AS Saloum (4th, 20 pts). It's a tantalizing match where first place is the main prize. Saloum-Saloum, strong at home, will try to upset the league leaders and move closer to the top of the table.
Behind them, Diambars FC (2nd, 21 pts) will host Niary Tally (6th, 20 pts). The ambitious Academicians will be aiming for a victory to maintain pressure on AS Douanes and, perhaps, even seize the top spot.
Third with the same total points as Diambars (21 pts), Oslo FA will face DUC (9th, 19 pts), in a crucial duel to stay in touch with the leading duo.
Still at the top of the table, Teranga SC (5th, 20 pts), confident after their last victory, will make a perilous trip to AS Kaffrine (11th, 17 pts), with the objective of bringing back a positive result.
At the Massène Sène stadium, Jamono Fatick will face Guelewaars de Fatick in the Sine derby. A high-stakes match where both teams will be looking to finish the first half of the season on a high note.
At the bottom of the standings, Ndiambour de Louga (14th, 14 pts) will host Port autonome FC (15th, 13 pts) for a decisive clash between the bottom-ranked teams.
Finally, at the Maniang Soumaré stadium, Amitié FC (16th, 11 pts), bottom of the league and with the worst defense in the championship, will try to return to winning ways against Essamaye FC (10th, 17 pts).
