Ligue 2 - 8e journée : L’AS Douanes conserve son fauteuil de leader, Diambars nouveau dauphin
Held to a 1-1 draw by Dakar University Club (DUC), AS Douanes failed to secure a fourth consecutive victory. Despite this draw, the customs officers remain top of the table with 15 points. However, AS Douanes now only holds a one-point lead over Diambars (2nd, 14 points), who defeated AS Kaffrine 3-0 away from home.
Guelewaars (3rd, 13 pts) lost at home to Oslo FA (0-1). Playing away in Louga, Jamono de Fatick caused an upset by defeating Ndiambour (1-0).
Niary Tally, who led the league for the first six matchdays, have stumbled. The Galactiques (4th, 13 pts) suffered a second consecutive defeat, losing to Port (1-2).
At the Aline Sitoé Diatta stadium, Essamaye FC (12th, 8 pts) were held to a draw by Teranga SC (2-2). Having lost their previous match against AS Kaffrine, Amitié FC bounced back by winning the derby against Thiès FC (4-1).
Finally, at the Lamine Guèye stadium in Kaolack, AS Saloum (6th, 11 pts) and AS Bambey (7th, 11 pts) drew (0-0).
