Ligue des champions : Max Dowman dépasse Lamine Yamal
Coming on as a substitute with 15 minutes remaining in Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday, young Max Dowman made Champions League history. At just 16 years and 97 days old, the Gunners winger became the youngest player to ever play in a quarter-final in the competition.
With this appearance, the promising English talent erases the record previously held by Lamine Yamal. The FC Barcelona striker reached this stage of the competition at 16 years and 272 days old, during the two matches against Paris Saint-Germain in April 2024.
A symbolic performance for Dowman, which confirms his immense potential and his remarkable entry onto the European scene.
