Mamadou Lamine Camara : Le « Lion » privé de haie d’honneur au Maroc, mais porté en triomphe par tout un peuple !
The image circulated widely in Senegal and sparked a wave of indignation. While most of the Senegalese African champions were greeted with guards of honor at their respective clubs, RS Berkane's silence regarding Lamine Camara triggered an outpouring of solidarity on social media.
Senegal is still on cloud nine. Crowned African champions, the "Lions" returned to their clubs with gold around their necks and the pride of a continent in their hearts. From Europe to the Gulf, images of Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Ismaïla Sarr being celebrated by their teammates flooded the internet. But one silence particularly hurt Senegalese fans: that of RS Berkane, the Moroccan club, regarding their midfielder, Mamadou Lamine Camara.
Unlike his teammates, Lamine Camara did not receive the traditional guard of honour upon his return to training in Morocco.
An "omission" perceived by many Senegalese as a lack of recognition, or even a lack of respect for the new status of the player, a key piece in Pape Bouna Thiaw's system.
Frustration quickly turned into action. While the club did not form a physical guard of honour, the Senegalese people decided to create one… virtually.
A peaceful and historic invasion on Facebook
As soon as RS Berkane's official page posted photos of the day's training session, the "12th Gaïndé" entered the scene. Within hours, the post was literally flooded with comments.
The figures are staggering and demonstrate the digital power of the Senegalese: over 11,000 "likes" and a flood of 8,000 comments. The sole objective? To congratulate Lamine Camara.
“Since you won’t do it, we’ll do it here,” read one comment, nestled between Senegalese flags and lion emojis. Each comment became a brick in the guard of honor that fans deemed necessary. Internet users transformed the Moroccan club’s comment section into a veritable wall of celebration in honor of their champion.
A clear message: "Hands off our Lions!"
This outpouring of solidarity goes beyond mere football. It demonstrates the deep-rooted attachment of the Senegalese people to their ambassadors. Through this mobilization, the fans have sent a powerful message to the world: no "Lion," however young, will be left behind.
Today, Lamine Camara knows he is not alone. If the guard of honor wasn't on the pitch in Berkane, it was in the hearts of millions of his compatriots. This support will undoubtedly give the young midfielder even more strength for the rest of the season.
Senegal is not only winning on the field, it is also winning through its exemplary solidarity. Lamine, the people are your guard of honor!

Une fois mané au Bayern ils sont revenus en meute foutre la merde . Ces cons sans éducation en croyant défendre leurs compatriotes font beaucoup plus de dégâts sans s’en rendre compte .

Sur le plan strictement réglementaire, la situation est limpide. Le règlement officiel de la Confédération africaine de football (CAF) prévoit des sanctions extrêmement sévères en cas de retrait volontaire du terrain.
L’article 82 est explicite, toute équipe qui quitte la pelouse avant la fin réglementaire du match, sans l’autorisation de l’arbitre, est considérée comme perdante et éliminée de la compétition. L’article 84 va plus loin, en détaillant les sanctions : défaite par forfait (3-0) et exclusion définitive du tournoi.
Le règlement disciplinaire de la CAF confirme cette lecture. Une équipe refusant de poursuivre un match déjà entamé s’expose à une amende minimale de 20.000 dollars et, « en principe », à une défaite par forfait. Dans les cas les plus graves, une disqualification pure et simple peut être prononcée.
