Manchester City : quel avenir pour Phil Foden ?
Having disappeared from the radar for a few weeks, the Englishman is stirring up debate behind the scenes.
Phil Foden's future is starting to raise questions at Manchester City. The English club wants to extend the contract of their 25-year-old playmaker, who has been part of the Citizens' academy since the age of four, but discussions regarding a new deal are reportedly at a standstill. Under contract until 2027, the England international might be tempted to consider a move during the next transfer window if his situation on the pitch doesn't improve.

This season, Foden is struggling to recapture his former form. Having scored 110 goals and provided 66 assists in 359 appearances for City, he has gone several games without starting and hasn't scored since mid-December. In a highly competitive attacking lineup that includes players like Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku, and Rayan Cherki, Foden has had to contend with limited playing time under Pep Guardiola. For now, the Englishman reportedly still prefers to stay and regain his place in the starting eleven, but a transfer this summer can no longer be entirely ruled out if the situation continues.
