Mercato : Aston Villa cible Lamine Camara pour remplacer Amadou Onana
Lamine Camara could well be a key player in the upcoming summer transfer window. His fate is indirectly linked to that of Amadou Onana, the Belgian midfielder of Senegalese descent. During the 2026 World Cup, Camara unfortunately conceded the penalty that led to the Lions' elimination against Belgium in the round of 32, before Onana suffered a serious knee injury in the following round of 16 match against the United States.
Now sidelined for several months, Onana leaves a huge void at Aston Villa. According to TEAMtalk, as reported by Walf Quotidien, the English club has set its sights on the 22-year-old Lion to fill this gap, making the Monaco player their top priority to strengthen their midfield.
Having delivered impressive performances at Monaco since his arrival in 2024, Lamine Camara is also attracting interest from other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United. However, Aston Villa remain the most persistent in the pursuit, although the Villans' shortlist includes other players such as Pape Gueye, Mandela Keita, and Ilaix Moriba.
