Mondial 2026 (Groupe C) : Le Brésil déroule face à Haïti et prend les commandes
Brazil responded perfectly after their opening setback. Held to a draw by Morocco (1-1) on the first day of Group C, the Seleção triumphed over Haiti (3-0) this Saturday, on the second day of the 2026 World Cup.
From the outset, the Brazilians displayed their intentions by launching numerous attacks. Their dominance was rewarded in the 23rd minute when Cunha opened the scoring. The prominent Brazilian striker then struck again thirteen minutes later (36th), giving his team a two-goal lead before halftime.
While Haiti tried to resist, Vinicius added to the score in first-half stoppage time (45+3), giving Brazil a comfortable lead at halftime.
Upon returning from the locker room, the Haitians displayed a more enterprising approach. Much more present offensively, they created several promising opportunities, but were unable to find the back of the net against a solid and well-organized Brazilian defense.
Thanks to this victory, Brazil (3 points) takes the lead in Group C ahead of Morocco (4 points, +1) and moves closer to qualifying for the round of 32. Conversely, this second consecutive defeat condemns Haiti, who are now eliminated from the competition.
