Premier League : un joueur de Chelsea écope de 4 ans de suspension
The situation has become seriously complicated for Mykhailo Mudryk. Already provisionally suspended since December 2024 after testing positive for meldonium, the Chelsea FC winger has been handed a four-year ban by the Football Association. This is a harsh decision, the maximum penalty, which runs until December 2028, although the player has already served 17 months.
The Ukrainian international hasn't played since November 28, 2024, in a UEFA Europa Conference League match against Heidenheim, where he scored. Having arrived in London in January 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk for around €70 million, Mudryk has never truly lived up to expectations.
Maintaining his innocence since the beginning of the case, the 25-year-old player has decided to appeal this sanction before the Court of Arbitration for Sport. This procedure could further prolong a case already fraught with consequences for the rest of his career.
