« Vous pouvez me traiter d’arrogant, mais… » : Cristiano Ronaldo réagit à son nouveau statut de footballeur milliardaire
Football stars all earn a lot of money, but none of them are as rich as Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese player became the first billionaire footballer in history this year.
According to "Bloomberg", an American media outlet specializing in finance, CR7's fortune is estimated at 1.4 billion euros.
During an interview with the superstar a few days ago, British journalist Piers Morgan asked him how he felt upon hearing the good news. "It's like winning a Ballon d'Or," Ronaldo replied.
"At 39, I reached that number. And, honestly, I was very proud."
He added that he wasn't really surprised. "I knew it was going to happen. So I was prepared. It was only a matter of time. I was very happy... At 39, I reached that number. And, honestly, I was very proud," said the Portuguese player.
When his interlocutor asks him if it is important to him to be the only billionaire footballer, he answers in the affirmative, but not without explaining himself.
"If you look at all the football records, Cristiano is right at the top of the list."
“It doesn’t really surprise me. If we’re talking about football history, you can call me arrogant or whatever you want, but the numbers don’t lie. I’ve always said it and I’ll say it again. If you look at all the football records, Cristiano is right at the top of the list. It’s just another record,” the five-time Ballon d’Or winner stated.
