Weekend for Senegalese players abroad: Pathé Ciss and Habib Diallo score, Pape Guèye reunites with Brahim Diaz

Week-end des Sénégalais de l’étranger : Pathé Ciss et Habib Diallo buteurs, Pape Guèye retrouve Brahim Diaz

A week after Senegal's victory in Morocco, the Senegalese internationals returned to action with their respective clubs. In Spain, Pathé Ciss scored on his return, despite Rayo Vallecano's defeat, while Pape Gueye was reunited with Brahim Diaz. In France, Habib Diallo impressed with FC Metz. In Germany, Nicolas Jackson played again for Bayern Munich, while in Saudi Arabia, Édouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly also resumed their training.

France

In Matchday 19, Olympique Lyonnais, with Moussa Niakhaté coming on as a substitute in the 46th minute, comfortably defeated FC Metz, featuring Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly and Habib Diallo, 5-2. Sabaly was unavailable and did not play, while Diallo, starting up front, scored Metz's second goal. Playing away at Nantes, OGC Nice, with Yehvann Diouf and Antoine Mendy, returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory. The two Senegalese internationals, recently returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, remained on the bench. At home, Paris FC, with Moustapha Mbow in the starting lineup, were held to a 0-0 draw by Angers.

On the road in Auxerre, Ibrahim Mbaye's PSG secured a narrow 1-0 victory. The Senegalese striker played 60 minutes before being substituted. In the Breton derby, FC Lorient, with Bamba Dieng starting before being replaced by Sambou Soumano, thrashed Stade Rennais 9-2.

At the Stade Océane, Le Havre, with Arouna Sanganté and Rassoul Ndiaye in the starting lineup, and Issa Soumaré coming on as a substitute in the 46th minute, were held to a 0-0 draw by Lamine Camara's Monaco. Krépin Diatta was notably absent. At the Stade Vélodrome, Olympique de Marseille defeated Abdallah Sima's RC Lens 3-1. The Senegalese striker started the match before being substituted in the 59th minute. RC Strasbourg, captained by Mamadou Sarr, secured a victory away at Lille. Toulouse won 2-0 away at Brest, with Pape Demba Diop scoring Toulouse's first goal.

England

In the 23rd round of matches, El Hadji Malick Diouf's West Ham defeated Habib Diarra's Sunderland 3-1. The two Senegalese internationals, who came on as substitutes in the second half, engaged in an interesting duel.

Ismaïla Sarr's Crystal Palace suffered a home defeat against Chelsea (2-0). Unlike the other Lions, Pape Matar Sarr was absent during Tottenham's draw at Burnley (2-2).

Everton, with Idrissa Gana Guèye and Iliman Ndiaye, play on Brighton pitch this Monday.

Spain

In the 26th round of La Liga, Pathé Ciss celebrated his return from the Africa Cup of Nations with a goal, even though Rayo Vallecano lost to Osasuna (3-1). Meanwhile, Pape Gueye's starting Villarreal were defeated at home by Real Madrid (2-0).

Italy

On Matchday 22, Lazio, with Boulaye Dia in the starting lineup, left Lecce with a point after a 0-0 draw. Como, still without Assane Diao, thrashed Torino 6-0. Cremonese, despite Mikayil Ngor Faye coming on in the 81st minute, lost 1-0 to Sassuolo. Parma, without Abdoulaye Niakhaté Ndiaye, suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at Atalanta. This Monday, Hellas Verona, with Cheikh Tidiane Niasse in the lineup, face Udinese, featuring Idrissa Gueye.

Germany

In the 19th round of Bundesliga matches, Nicolas Jackson's Bayern Munich lost at home to Augsburg (2-1). The Senegalese striker came on as a substitute in the 79th minute.

Türkiye

In Matchday 19, Galatasaray, with Ismaïla Jakobs in the starting lineup, secured a 3-1 victory away to Fatih Karagümrük. Chérif Ndiaye, who came on in the 68th minute, was unable to prevent Samsunspor from drawing 0-0 at home against Kocaelispor.

Belgium

In the 22nd round of matches, Anderlecht, featuring Moussa Ndiaye and Ilay Camara, were held to a 0-0 draw by FC Dender. Moussa Ndiaye came on in the 61st minute and played the full match, while Ilay Camara, returning from injury, remained on the bench.

Ousseynou Niang came on in the 80th minute and took part in Union Saint-Gilloise's draw against OH Louvain (0-0).

Saudi Arabia

In Matchday 28, Al-Ahli, with Édouard Mendy as captain, secured a resounding 5-0 victory away to Neom SC. Kalidou Koulibaly, sidelined with an injury, missed Al-Hilal's 1-1 draw against Al-Riyadh FC. Sadio Mané's Al-Nassr travel to Al-Taawoun on Monday.

    Maa chaa ALLAH. Nos Internationaux du football jouent partout dans le monde dans les plus grandes équipes. Cela démontre que le potentiel pour remporter d'autres dans les dix prochaines années est bien réel in chaa ALLAH.
    Il faut en profiter pour épingler au moins deux ou trois autres étoiles sur le maillot national.
