The traditional Christmas tree ceremony of the Ministry of Public Service and Public Service Reform was held this Wednesday, January 21st, at Magic Land in Dakar. This annual event, characterized by conviviality and sharing, was presided over by Minister Olivier Boucal, in the presence of staff members and their families. Beyond the festivities, the day was dedicated to awarding decorations to more than twenty staff members in various national orders, notably as Knights of the National Order of the Lion and Knights of the National Order of Merit.

In his address, Olivier Boucal gave special recognition to the recipients for their commitment and determination in service to the Senegalese administration. The minister praised the dedication of his colleagues, which enabled them to achieve crucial milestones during 2025.

Among the major achievements cited are the consolidation of the e-career platform, the digitalization of joint committees, the organization of the Gov'athon, and the signing of the stability pact for inclusive growth.

The minister pledged to continue efforts to ensure the professional development of all employees. He emphasized that a positive work environment is a key factor in building the collective intelligence necessary to improve public service. Addressing the children, Olivier Boucal urged them to persevere in their studies in order to be worthy of the sacrifices made by their parents and to live up to the nation's expectations.

For his part, the president of the staff association, Souka Ndot, expressed his gratitude to the minister's leadership and reaffirmed the association's commitment to providing material and financial support to the ministry's wards. Speaking through their representative, Félix, the children thanked the minister for the gifts they received, promising in return to redouble their efforts at school. The celebration concluded with music and performances by several artists, including Mouhamed VJ.
