Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko addressed the infrastructure problems in Ziguinchor. The construction of the Emile Badiane Bridge, the road to Cap Skirring, and the opening of Ziguinchor Airport were among the topics discussed in the PM's statement following the Korité prayer at the mosque in his Néma neighborhood.

“For the Ziguinchor airport, on my way here I even wanted to land at the airport. I asked the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Infrastructure to see if it was possible to land in Ziguinchor. They told me that they are putting on the final layer of asphalt and that the commitment made to deliver this airport by the end of April will, God willing, be respected,” the PM said.

He added: "We are all eager for this airport to reopen, and this will allow the roadworks on Cap Skirring to proceed much more smoothly. But I believe the ministers will respect this timetable and that this airport will soon be reopened, God willing."

In the same vein, the Prime Minister reiterated that the urgent needs in Ziguinchor also include the Emile Badiane bridge and the Ziguinchor-Cap Skirring road. "With or without partners, we can begin," affirmed the head of government, emphasizing that the laying of the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Emile Badiane bridge is imminent.

Ousmane Sonko addressed the funding obstacles, particularly following the suspension of the program with the International Monetary Fund. "The funding that was supposed to be provided is awaiting the progress of our discussions with the IMF. And I said we can't wait," he stated.

Faced with this situation, he clearly displayed a new doctrine focused on sovereignty.

With this in mind, 30 billion CFA francs have been allocated in the 2026 budget to accelerate projects. "My strategy for all our projects is that we no longer wait for external funding," he said.

Through this statement, Ousmane Sonko outlines a governance focused on sovereignty, the effectiveness of public policies and the preservation of national stability, in a context marked by persistent security and economic challenges.

'Ma stratégie "😀😀😀😀ce gars parle comme si c'était lui le président.Mais bon Diomaye aussi nékhouteu défendre,fouleu ak fayda borom,il est grand temps qu'il prenne ses responsabilités en dégommant ce type.

Il n'y a pas d'argent. Il n'a pas les moyens financiers pour construire un pont. Ay nakhémbaay rék comme d'habitude. Quant à l'aéroport, il aurait pu être fini s'il n'avait pas bloqué les travaux. De toute façon, il s'adresse au plus grand troupeau de moutons de Pasteef, Ziguinchor. Il a été maire là-bas et n'a rien changé à part un vieux camion poubelle. Il leur a choisi un maire nul Il est nul et choisi des nullards. Il ne sera jamais président c'est la raison pour laquelle il s'attaque à la justice. Il a la majorité écrasante à l'assemblée nationale. Qu'attend-t-il pour supprimer la loi d'amnistie et ouvrir un procès pour les 86 morts ! Opposition ba bla bla Pouvoir bla bla rek

Honêtement, ay waxi késé et puis la contradiction de reconnaître que la suspension du programme avec le FMI impacte les investissements et dire à côté, on peut y aller sans partenaire...donc fallait pas mentionner le FMI mais surtout agir avant de parler, wax késé, wax késé et en plus wax bu maladroit
