Linguère : El Hadji Malick Ndiaye fixe un objectif de 10 000 enrôlements et appelle à la massification de Pastef
The Speaker of the National Assembly, El Hadji Malick Ndiaye, undertook a significant socio-political tour of the Linguère department this Saturday. This journey, which took the second-highest-ranking official in the country to Barkédji, Linguère, and Dahra Djoloff, provided an opportunity to combine compassion, social support, and political mobilization. After offering his condolences to several bereaved families in Barkédji and Linguère, El Hadji Malick Ndiaye traveled to Dahra Djoloff to carry out a series of concrete actions to support the local population.
During his visit to Dahra, he presided over a ceremony to distribute donations to the local health district. This shipment, consisting of medicines and medical supplies, aims, according to him, to address the infrastructure and equipment shortages in Djoloff's health facilities. In his capacity as the Pastef party's departmental coordinator, he also presented a significant number of millet mills to women's groups in the department. This initiative seeks to support women's economic activities and ease their daily workload, a civic-minded approach the party has championed since well before coming to power.
The Speaker of the National Assembly used this platform to announce a major social measure concerning health. He set a target of enrolling 10,000 people in Universal Health Coverage (CMU) throughout the Linguère department. To mark the start of this operation, an initial group of 3,000 people will be enrolled in the first quarter of 2026. This action complements other social initiatives recently undertaken in the education sector, spearheaded by local party officials.
At the close of his tour, El Hadji Malick Ndiaye convened all the local coordinators for a political working session. He urged each leader to fully commit themselves on the ground to scaling up Pastef's presence in Djoloff. Reminding them that the party's core values are rooted in community engagement and solidarity, he called on activists to strengthen their presence alongside the people to consolidate achievements and broaden the party's electoral base.
