Macky Sall, Ousmane Sonko, les juges et la Présidentielle de 2024 : Les révélations surprenantes de Cheikh Bara Ndiaye
If the late Badio Camara refused the postponement of the presidential election decreed by Macky Sall, followed by the election of Diomaye Faye, it was thanks to Ousmane Sonko. This is what MP Cheikh Bara Ndiaye maintains, speaking on the "Talk Show" program on Walfadjiri.
According to a member of parliament close to the Pastef leader, it was Ousmane Sonko, from prison, who instructed the current Minister of Budget, Cheikh Diba, to ensure that the US Embassy in Dakar protected the judges. "Cheikh Diba himself told me this," he stated. According to Cheikh Bara Ndiaye, Ousmane Sonko had anticipated Macky Sall's decision to postpone the presidential election. "Sonko told Cheikh Diba to go to the US Embassy and make them understand that the judges were in danger before the elections, and that Macky Sall was going to postpone the vote," the MP recounted.
According to Cheikh Bara Ndiaye, the Americans then reacted to Sonko's arrest from prison by taking responsibility for the judges' security. "The Americans then took steps to protect the judges. Before the elections, the judges' security was ensured by the American Embassy in Dakar, which provided them with satellite equipment. If the judges stood up to Macky Sall and refused to postpone the presidential election, it's thanks to Ousmane Sonko. Diomaye Faye should be grateful to him," the MP declared.
Cheikh Bara Ndiaye also criticizes the head of state for going against certain campaign promises, particularly regarding accountability.
