Diomaye - Sonko : La mise au point de Mor Talla Gueye (Nit Doff) !
In the wake of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye's interview with the national press, reactions are multiplying within the presidential movement. Among them is that of Mor Talla Guèye, better known by his stage name Nit Doff, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Culture Development Fund (FDCU), who delivers a passionate plea for Ousmane Sonko's historic role and the strength of the executive duo. For the new Chairman of the FDCU, while it is essential not to "personalize" the national transformation project, it is impossible to ignore the exceptional impact of the PASTEF leader on the collective consciousness. Mor Talla Guèye emphasizes that "Ousmane Sonko's stance, his sacrifices, his bravery, his strategies, his discourse, and his charisma, which have united the masses, have largely contributed to making the PROS what it is today in the eyes of the Senegalese people."
Responding to the debates surrounding leadership within the ruling party, Mor Talla Guèye reiterates that all founding members are deserving and capable of executing the project. However, he questions Ousmane Sonko's unique ability to have "raised awareness, galvanized, and reassured young people, the diaspora, and the Koranic schools (Seriñ daara)." Dismissing accusations of excessive personal ambition, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FDCU asserts with conviction that the stance of saying "if it's not me, it will be no one else" is the antithesis of the Prime Minister's personality. As proof, he cites the measures taken by the Prime Minister during periods of incapacity: "His pre-recorded videos designating candidates in case he was unable to serve clearly demonstrate that being President was never an end in itself for him."
Mor Talla Guèye emphasizes that Ousmane Sonko could have chosen the easy political path by accepting a postponement of the elections to regain his eligibility, but that he preferred the coherence of his project. According to him, his current popularity is above all "the will of God." In conclusion, the cultural and political leader expresses his wishes for stability in the country. He says he sincerely prays that "peace and understanding will remain between these two brothers, as well as within the entire Pastef party and for all of Senegal," seeing in this brotherhood the foundation of hope for Senegalese youth.
