Ziguinchor : La marche de la communauté bissau-guinéenne contre "le faux coup d'État" autorisée
The Guinea-Bissau community in Ziguinchor has received approval from the prefecture to organize a peaceful march "planned by Messrs. Juelson Monteiro, Ehinesio Sambu and Jean-Paul Gomis, all responsible for Guinea-Bissau nationals residing in Ziguinchor", reads the prefectural decree.
The prefect, Hamet Tidiane Thiaw, indicates that the demonstration will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., from the esplanade of the Aline Sitoé Diatta roundabout to the consulate of Guinea-Bissau.
This peaceful march is to "raise awareness and peacefully protest against the dictatorship and the fake coup in Guinea-Bissau", according to the organizers.
The mayor and the central commissioner of Ziguinchor are each responsible, within their respective jurisdictions, for the execution of this decree, which will be notified and communicated wherever necessary.
