Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Misconduct, Match Officiating, and Security Failures During Morocco vs Senegal Match
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a series of serious incidents that occurred during and after the match between the Moroccan national team and the Senegalese national team - AFCON 2025. These incidents raise significant concerns about player safety, fair play, match officiating, and the conduct of individuals operating under the authority of the host organizers.
Firstly, I wish to report the unacceptable behavior exhibited by certain members of the Moroccan team, as well as by stadium workers, security personnel, and ball pickers. On multiple occasions, there were deliberate attempts to steal or interfere with the towels of the Senegalese first-choice goalkeeper. While attention was focused on safeguarding those towels, violent and aggressive acts were committed against the second goalkeeper, Mr. Yehvann Diouf. This behavior constitutes a clear breach of sportsmanship and posed a direct threat to player safety.
Secondly, the conduct of the match referee, of Congolese nationality, demonstrated a pattern of unfair and biased decision-making that consistently disadvantaged the Senegalese team. Several key incidents were either ignored or improperly judged, contributing to an imbalance in the enforcement of the Laws of the Game. Such officiating undermines the integrity of the competition and the credibility of international and African football.
Furthermore, the behavior of certain officials during the trophy handover ceremony was deeply concerning. Their attitude and actions failed to reflect the neutrality, professionalism, and respect required at such a significant moment, further compounding the sense of injustice felt by players and supporters alike.
Given the gravity of these issues, I respectfully request that FIFA:
Conduct a thorough and independent investigation into the reported misconduct.
Review the actions of the match officials and assess compliance with FIFA refereeing standards.
Examine the role and behavior of stadium staff, security personnel, and ball pickers.
Take appropriate disciplinary and corrective measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
Football stands for fairness, respect, and safety. Allowing such conduct to go unaddressed risks damaging the reputation of the sport at the highest level.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that FIFA will take the necessary steps to uphold the integrity of international football.
Yours faithfully,
Participer à la Discussion
