Inauguration du siège de la Fécafoot au Cameroun : Samuel Eto’o fait une demande expresse à Roger Milla
The Cameroonian Football Federation (Fécafoot) inaugurated its new headquarters in Yaoundé on Wednesday, May 13. The ceremony was attended by sports officials, political leaders including Cameroonian Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute, personal representative of President Paul Biya, and distinguished guests such as CAF President Patrice Motsepe.
"Albert Roger Milla, my idol, my inspiration…"
In his speech at the event, Samuel Eto'o praised the contributions of the Cameroonian government, football stakeholders, and sponsors to the construction of the headquarters. He also asked Roger Milla, who was present in the crowd, to become the president of the Fécafoot Foundation.
“Your Excellency Albert Roger Milla, my idol, my inspiration, I would like to ask you to become the president of the FECAFOOT Foundation, which has its offices here. Your Excellency Mr. Albert Roger Milla, dear idol, dear father, this was a surprise to me. You paved the way, you showed us that it is possible if we work hard, if we believe in our dreams. The little boy who received your socks during the Cameroon-Zambia match is here before you to ask you to accept the position of president of the FECAFOOT Foundation,” said Samuel Eto'o, in front of a smiling and visibly moved Roger Milla.
It must be said that the quarter-finalist of the 1990 World Cup has always supported Samuel Eto'o unlike Joseph Antoine Bell or Jérémie Njitap, who are not in good standing with the native of Yaoundé.
