West Ham : Adama Traoré privé de musculation
Known for his impressive physical strength, Adama Traoré will have to revise his training routine. At West Ham United, his manager Nuno Espírito Santo has decided to limit his weight training sessions, believing that gaining additional muscle mass could impair his performance on the pitch.
In a press conference, the Portuguese coach maintained that his winger's natural physique is already a sufficient advantage. "His genetics are what they are, and he should avoid the gym. I told him not to go to the gym. That's one of the things he needs to understand. He carries enough weight as it is," he explained, emphasizing the need to adapt physical training to the demands of the game.
Last week, a video shared by his teammate Crysencio Summerville reignited the debate. It showed Traoré sitting on a bench with a heavily loaded barbell in front of him. The winger reportedly assured his coach that he hadn't used it.
While heavy weight training now seems to be out of the question, Nuno Espírito Santo clarified that the player will continue with specific preventative and maintenance work. "He will do preventative work, but he won't be there to lift weights," he concluded.
In London, the message is clear: preserving Traoré's speed and explosiveness takes precedence over any additional muscle gain.
